Yucca in Gondola - Foresight Vision of the Agricultural Chain
Motivation
The Director General of Foresight introduced a new foresight study, by creating a Root Crops Program to promote research in sectors listed by the Department of Commerce and Production. The study is aimed at contributing to the implementation of a technology transfer mechanism toward communities and their public and private organizations, under the concept of integrity, with the application and the development of technologies viable to sustainability.
General Objectives
To utilize the Foresight methodology to identify the main drivers influencing some of the objectives of the Root Crops Program, as a behavior model and as a means of agreement and consolidation of social actors.
Specific Objectives
- To design possible scenarios that may take place in the next 10 or 15 years.
- To estimate the development trend and to choose and design the scenario which are most attractive for the Social Actors, with the aim to start their construction today.
- To consolidate and integrate Social Actors which influence on the key variables that take part in the evolution of an agricultural system.
- To identify the Social Actors having a major influence on the project results.
- To create the Plan of Action.
