|
Manage Your Surveys
The first step toward building
your first professional survey is to create one.
Besides limiting the number of incoming
responses for each of your surveys, you can also set cutoff
date, create public surveys or restrict access to it to a group of respondents,
create new survey rounds
or even make your survey confidential thus hiding it from other Surveylet
administrators.

Create Your Own Survey Design
You assign a default theme to your survey when you
create it, but if later on you decide to fine-tune or
completely change your current survey theme, you can do it easily using the
Survey Theme page which allows you to style
every single part of your page: add corporate logos,
page background, page layout, question fonts, question
numbering, bulleting, navigation buttons, progress bar,
etc. You can customize each page separately.
While the appearance of every single question you
add later on to your survey can be individually
customized, they all will default to the survey style
you create for your survey here. |
| |
|
|
Add Pages and Questions
As a next step, you will add pages
and questions to your new survey. There is no limit to
the number of pages and questions you may add, so feel
free to create as many as you wish. You can select from
dozens of different question styles, also add input
validation, question and choice order randomization.
| |
Add Choices
You may add a list of choices for
your questions using the Choice Editor page. Its
Auto-Preview pane automatically displays your question
and its choices as they appear on your final survey. The
Choice Editor lets you organize the layout of your
choices in multiple rows and columns with optional
column or row lable. Here you can specify choice
defaults, choice weight, choice background colors and add
"Other, specify!" textual choices. |
| |
|
|
Style Each Question Separately
You can individually style your
question using the Question Style Editor page. Adjust
fonts family, font colors, font effects, block width,
block height, padding, border width, border color
separately for Question text, Question remarks and
Question PopUp Help text. Change choice layout, choice
alignment | |
Define Page and Question Logic
Once you are done with your
question list and happy with the appearance of your
survey, you may whish to add some logic flow to control
the movement of your responto your
survey which will be triggered based on responses your
respondents given to your questions. Surveylet has been
designed to accomodate page branching logic, question
and choice hiding logic, question and choice piping
logic, auto email notification logic, and all these with
an easy-to-use Condition Setup pages. |

|
|
Add Users and Groups
If you are planning to assign your
survey to a group of recipients (Private Survey) instead
of letting anyone on the World Wide Web access your
survey (Public Survey), you will need to add recipients
to your account. You can do this easily on the User
Management pages where you can add/import Users and
Groups and assign each user to one or more Groups.
| |
Secure Your Survey
You can apply different security
settings for your survey: such as specify if users can
re-edit their questionnaires after submittion, if only
one questionnaire can be submitted from a single
computer or IP address, You can further allow or
restrict the list of IP addresses that can and/or cannot
submit questionnaires. |
| |
|
Preview and Test Your Survey
Before sending out invitations to
your respondents, you should make sure that the page
looks exactly the way you've wanted and any page,
question or choice logic you have implemented works as
you have planned. You can do all these by click on the
Test button. The test page appears and functions exactly
as the page your respondents will see, only that its
responses won't be included into the final responses.
| |
Send Email Notifications to Your Respondents
You can send email notifications
to a group of recipients. The use of Email Variables
(e.g. [FIRST_NAME], [LAST_NAME], etc.) allows you to
send out individually customized friendly emails to your
recipient. With the Email Templates, you can re-use
presaved email messages without having to write them
from scratch each time. You can also schedule your
emails to be sent out at a specific date and time.
Adjust email settings, send file attachments or just a
link to files in your Web folder. You also have the
option to test your emails before sending them out to
your users. |
| |
|
|
Submit Questionnaires
Next, your respondents will access
your survey, fill out and submit questionnaires.
Depending on the type of your survey (Public Survey or
Private Survey) you've created, your users will access
your survey differently. Public surveys can be accessed
directly from a URL that you can send out in an email,
or by entering the Survey Code on the Surveylet Login
page. To access a Private survey, your respondents will
need to login first with a UserID and Password you
assigned to them. If you enabled your survey for
allowing respondents to re-edit their submitted
questionnaires, they will automatically receive an email
with the Edit URL link that allows them to go back to
their survey and make further modifications. When a
public survey is submitted, the respondents will be
asked to enter their name and email address if they want
to edit their questionnaires later on.
| |
Analyze Responses and Create Reports
As respondents fill out
questionnaires for your survey, you can evaluate these
responses in real-time as they come in. Surveylet features
powerful data analysis options and state of the art data filtering.
You can evaluate
the responses in your Web browser, or download responses
in multiple file formats including XML. |
|
|
|
|
Utilize Your Virtual Web folder
When you open a Surveylet account,
a virtual folder will be created for your use on the Web server
where you can store unlimited number of file such as (1) images to use as corporate
logos, wallpapers, images, question backgrounds,
(2) Excel spreadsheet to import users, questions and choices with a click of a button into your
Surveylet account, (3) use Web folder to export generated reports and send them out to your email
