About Calibrum

Purpose-built technology for Delphi research, expert consensus, and structured decision-making

Calibrum develops specialized software and services for research teams, clinical leaders, professional societies, public health organizations, conference organizers, and institutions that need to make structured decisions with expert and stakeholder input.

Our flagship platform, Surveylet, is designed specifically for Delphi and Real-Time Delphi studies. It supports multi-round research and live consensus sessions by collecting independent input, providing structured group feedback, tracking consensus, and documenting areas of agreement and disagreement.

Built for Delphi, not generic data collection

Unlike generic survey tools, Surveylet was built around the practical needs of Delphi research and structured consensus: expert panels, rating rounds, controlled feedback, consensus thresholds, stakeholder groups, comments, item revision, response monitoring, reporting-ready exports, and live feedback workflows.

The Delphi method is useful when experts, clinicians, patients, researchers, leaders, or stakeholders must make structured judgments about complex topics. Surveylet helps organize that process across multiple rounds or within a facilitated live session so teams can move from input to measurable consensus—or clearly documented disagreement.

Our focus

Calibrum supports medical, research, public health, professional, organizational, and conference-based consensus projects.

Medical Delphi Studies

Structured Delphi and real-time Delphi workflows for clinical, research, public health, and professional-society consensus.

Core Outcome Sets

Outcome prioritization and consensus development for clinical trials, registries, observational research, and health-services studies.

Research Priorities

Structured prioritization of research gaps, evidence needs, funding priorities, standards, quality indicators, and care pathways.

Clinical Recommendations

Support for expert panels developing definitions, recommendations, criteria, implementation guidance, or standards of care.

Live Consensus Sessions

Facilitated Real-Time Delphi decision-making for conferences, advisory boards, committees, workshops, and leadership meetings where every participant should have a structured voice.

Consensus Reporting

Round-by-round summaries, consensus status tables, exports, and reporting support for steering committees and manuscripts.

More than software

Some teams come to Calibrum with a finalized protocol and only need a purpose-built Delphi platform. Others need help designing and running a full study—or delivering a structured decision-making exercise during a live event.

Surveylet platform access

For teams that have internal Delphi methodology leadership and need a secure, specialized platform for survey administration, participant management, structured feedback, and data exports.

  • Multi-round Delphi surveys
  • Real-time Delphi workflows
  • Participant and panel management
  • Structured feedback between rounds
  • Consensus tracking and exports

Turn-key Delphi study services

For teams that need broader support with Delphi study design, questionnaire development, consensus thresholds, Surveylet setup, participant workflow, round administration, analysis, and reporting materials.

  • Delphi methodology planning
  • Questionnaire and rating-scale design
  • Surveylet setup, testing, and launch
  • Round-by-round analysis
  • Reporting and manuscript-support materials

Live consensus session delivery

For conferences, workshops, advisory boards, committees, and leadership groups that need to evaluate options and document an outcome during the meeting.

  • Decision-objective and question preparation
  • Surveylet live-session configuration
  • Participant instructions and technical rehearsal
  • Real-time facilitation or monitoring
  • Post-session results summary

Why Delphi matters

Many important clinical, research, policy, and organizational decisions cannot be answered by one dataset or one expert. The Delphi method provides a transparent way to gather judgment, reduce dominance effects, allow participants to reconsider their views, and identify areas of agreement, disagreement, and uncertainty—whether the process takes place over several rounds or during a live meeting.

Surveylet was created to support this process in a structured and manageable way.

Anonymous Input

Participants can contribute without hierarchy, reputation, or dominant voices shaping the process.

Controlled Feedback

Participants review group-level summaries, consensus indicators, and anonymized comments before revising responses.

Measurable Consensus

Study teams can define thresholds for agreement, disagreement, inclusion, exclusion, or further review.

Experience in medical and health research

Calibrum’s work with Surveylet includes projects connected to peer-reviewed publications and public records in medical, nursing, public health, and health-services research. Several publications explicitly identify Surveylet and/or Calibrum as the Delphi platform used.

These references include work in neonatal encephalopathy, emergency nursing, trauma research, cancer care, urinary tract infection, respiratory medicine, stillbirth and neonatal outcomes, and other consensus-focused research areas.

Reference note: Some public references explicitly identify Surveylet or Calibrum. Others are associated with Surveylet-hosted projects by title, organization, and topic. Calibrum distinguishes between direct platform citations and project/title matches when presenting references.

Our role

Calibrum does not replace the expertise of your investigators, clinicians, researchers, patients, or stakeholders. Instead, we help organize that expertise into a structured, transparent Delphi process.

Your team brings

  • Scientific and clinical expertise
  • Study leadership and ownership
  • Candidate outcomes, statements, or questions
  • Panelist criteria and stakeholder knowledge
  • Final interpretation and publication decisions

Calibrum brings

  • Surveylet Delphi platform
  • Delphi workflow and implementation support
  • Survey setup, launch, and monitoring
  • Consensus analysis and reporting support
  • Experience supporting structured consensus studies

Our commitment

Calibrum is committed to building practical, reliable, research-focused technology that helps teams make better decisions together. We believe expert and stakeholder consensus should be structured, transparent, respectful of participant time, and supported by tools designed for the method—whether the work occurs over several research rounds or within the limited agenda of a conference or meeting.

We believe that expert consensus should be structured, transparent, respectful of participant time, and supported by tools designed for the method — not forced into software built for something else.

Surveylet exists for that purpose.

Planning a Delphi study or a live consensus session?

Calibrum can provide Surveylet as a specialized Delphi platform, support the full process from study design to reporting, or plan and facilitate a structured Real-Time Delphi decision exercise during your event.
